Yup! In exactly one month from now we will be landing in the majestic country of Belize. For 11 short days we get to explore the historic Mayan ruins, zip line, cave tube, run through the rainforest, snorkel, scuba dive, eat "ghetto pringles", possibly smoke a joint with a Rastafarian, and hopefully not sink into the 450 ft deep Blue Hole. The best part of the whole adventure is that we get to meet, work and live like the locals. For 5 out of those 11 days, each of us will be in different service placements helping out in soup kitchens, an AIDS and/or elderly clinic, and elementary school. Besides...what better way is there to get to know a community than be a part of them.
I can't wait! This is will be trip of a lifetime!
