Brown People in Belize: 7 more days...Belize-an mo! (bilisan mo)

We're quickly counting down until we head to Belize. Can't Belize it...7 more days! I'm officially going to start packing on Saturday. I'm currently partially packed-as in I have many of the items I plan on bringing in a pile somewhere. I've never prepped so much for a trip before. I feel like I'm taking more precautions going to Belize than what I did when I went to the Philippines.

Hep A shot, epi pen, imodium, pepto bismol, bug repellant, Tevas. It's crazy! Nonetheless, I'm still super stoked. Also, if you have any recommendations on additional items to pack that are typically outside the norm, holler at us!

This past weekend I was able to score a bunch of supplies for the girls at the YWCA in addition to some games and kitchen supplies for the Mercy Kitchen. The good news is, there is still more that you can do to help! The community named a few things they would like: pretzels, chocolate, candles, pencils, and tequila (it's what they requested). Let me know if you have anything you want to contribute...anything helps. =)

As we count down, we've also solidified our plans...we'll be doing a day trip that involves cave-tubing and zip lining, then the following day we'll be doing a day trip to the Lamanai ruins. Apparently the trip to the Lamanai ruins will require us to take a riverboat through swamps, creeks, and lagoons into the jungle. Exciting!
